Schools of Equality is an activity-based programme that engages students, artists and people working for social justice to examine equality and effect change in society.

Individuals and social groups are divided and discriminated against on
the basis of various aspects of their identity including gender,
caste, class, race, sexuality, disability and nationality.

We are trying to eliminate social attitudes that perpetuate
gender-based violence and other forms of social injustice

 

Effecting change by

– Creating spaces for discussion and interaction between students, artists and people working for social justice

– Interrogating the concept of inequality and injustice in the context of different aspects of identity

– Creating awareness of rights granted in the Constitution, national and international law

– Teaching creative modes of expression and enabling students to take action in whatever form they choose
