What we have done

Schools of Equality’s programme was first rolled out in the year 2014 in two schools and catered to around 120 students in the age group of 13 years to 16 years.  Now, we work with eight schools, both private and government, and with about 1,500 students spanning the age groups of 8 years to 16 years. The State governments in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have appreciated our programme and we are currently working on introducing it in many more government schools in the two states.

What we hope for

We hope to engage with many more schools and students and encourage them to interrogate the concept of inequality and injustice, empower them to take action to eliminate social attitudes that perpetuate discrimination, and encourage them to build and foster communities of respect

How you can help

You can help by supporting us! Any money that we receive will be used to engage with more students in this endeavour. We organise public campaigns and events where students can bring discussions about equality and human rights into the mainstream, share personal narratives and voice their opinions using different forms of expression.
